She was born in Poland and has lived in New Britain for over 32 years, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and traveling. But her greatest joy was being with her family.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church and retired from Colt Industries.
Aleksandra is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years and her beloved children with their spouses, Joanna and Vic Koziura of Glastonbury; Zbigniew “Bill” and Joanna Nowak of Southington; Darek and Krystyna Nowak of Farmington.She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Chris Pilch of Austin, TX; Nicolas and Olivia Nowak; Casey Nowak of Orlando, FL; Carolyn and Cathleen Nowak.
She leaves two sisters in Poland, Zofia Jobda and Teresa Osenka and was predeceased by a brother, Stanislaw and two sisters, Danuta and Janina.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 9:00 0 AM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, followed by her funeral liturgy at 10AM in Holy Cross New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
