Alina Zofia Madejski, born on February 24, 1941, in Poland, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of Władysław and Magdalena Wozniak, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Alina shared 49 and a half years of marriage with her beloved husband, Marian Madejski. While living in Poland, she dedicated herself to raising their two sons, creating a warm and loving family home. In June 1979, Alina and her family immigrated to the United States, where she joyfully reunited with her sister, Teresa Klimas, and her family.
The Madejski family settled in New Britain, Connecticut, where Alina spent the next 45 years of her life. She worked at Winslow Automatics Inc., retiring at the age of 75, but her greatest work was always at home. Her life was defined by her unwavering love and devotion to her family. She raised her children with strength, kindness, and faith, shaping the lives of all who knew her.
Alina was a woman of quiet dignity and profound compassion. She lived without complaint, no matter life’s challenges, always showing forgiveness, grace, and respect to others. Her faith in God was steadfast, and she lovingly instilled these values in her children and grandchildren.
After raising her own children, Alina devoted herself to nurturing her grandchildren—Jessica, Adam, and David—continuing the legacy of care and love that defined her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marian; her parents, Władysław and Magdalena; her sisters, Teresa and Krystyna; her brother, Janek; her nephew, Gregory; Adam's son Lukas; and many other beloved family members. Alina is survived by her sons, Darek (and his wife Beata, and their sons Kristofer and Mathew) and Adam (and his children Jessica, Adam, and David); her great grandchildren Angel, Adrian and Jacob; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, Basia, Ewa, Misi, Zbyszek, and Piotrek
