Aniela (Roman) Arciszewski, 92, of New Britain, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 19, 2019. She was born in Poland, a daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Maria (Irzyk) Roman. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church, a housewife and homemaker. She cherished time with her family and enjoyed “get togethers”. Aniela was blessed to live long enough to get to know her five great-grandchildren. Her beloved husband Kazimierz Arciszewski predeceased her on July 4, 2015. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Maria LaVoie and her husband Joseph of West Hartford, three grandchildren Chris LaVoie and his wife April of Glastonbury, Mark LaVoie and Michael Arciszewski both of Berlin, five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Christopher, Alexander, Briana and Camden LaVoie, three sisters in law Gienowefa Bartkowicz and Bronislawa Zygnarski both of New Britain, Irena Ksiazek of Poland, one brother-in-law Jozef Harchut and his wife Maria of Plainville and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Ursula Napierkowski and her family. She was predeceased by her son Janusz Arciszewski and her brother John Roman. The family would like to thank Janina Rostkowska for her devoted and loving care. Funeral services will be Wednesday June 26th at 9AM from the New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial 10AM in Holy Cross Church, burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, all in New Britain.
