Barbara Brzoska, 69, wife of Zdzislaw Brzoska since 1974, passed away on Nov. 14th, 2020 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut after a long illness with family at her bedside. Barbara was born on April 9, 1951 in Poland to (the late) Zofia Koziura and Stanislaw Parzych. She worked in a city hall for many years in Lomza before moving to the United States and working at Creed Monarch. She will be remembered by her grandchildren for her warm hugs and kisses, and her delicious "zupkas." Her children will forever hold her in their hearts for her shy smile, quiet but stern personality, caring, patience and support. Barbara enjoyed gardening and attending to her flowers, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She had "a green thumb" and was able to grow her daughter's favorite flowers, lily of the valley. One of her favorite places was a botanical garden in Atlanta, Georgia which she had a chance to visit many years ago. Her sons adored her and were grateful for her never-ending support. She was "light on her feet" so dancing with her husband on many occasions brought her lots of joy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was set on teaching them Polish and Polish traditions. Wigilia was her favorite special day when she could really spoil her "wnuczki." She will be dearly missed by her husband, Zdzislaw and their children: Edyta McCuin with her husband Michael, Erwin Brzoska with his wife Ewa and the youngest son, Emil. Her grandchildren: Annika, Kaeden, Kaya and Lily. She also leaves behind her brother, Slawomir Parzych and his wife Lidia with their children. Her many cousins and close relatives are left with sadness. Calling Hours will be held at New Britain Memorial and Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home on Friday, Novemeber 20th, 2020 from 5pm till 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, Saturday, Novemeber 21st, 2020 at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church located at 158 Broad Street, New Britain, followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
