

He attended local schools and was a devoted employee of Papa’s Dodge. Junior was an avid drag racer who loved to race his favorite car, Satan’s Coach. He enjoyed oldies music, watching UCONN Football, spending time with his close friends the Bourrett’s and Ciccio’s, and walking his grand dog Sophie.
He is survived by his son Mark and wife Lisa Blancato of Glastonbury, his grandchildren Anabella, Farrah, Soleil, and Hudson, daughter Denamarie Blancato of New Britain, former wife, Sharron Amenta Blancato and former father-in-law Senator Paul Amenta, Sr. of New Britain. He leaves his loving brother Richard Blancato and wife Rosemary Blancato of Berlin, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was an attentive grandpa and was looking forward to meeting his 5th grandchild this November.
Calling hours are Thursday 5, 2012, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Britain Memorial/Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain.( Directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right.) Funeral Services will be held on Friday 6th, at 9:00 AM at the funeral home followed by funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church in New Britain. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
