

Betty Lou J. (Clifford) Hinchcliffe, 90, widow of Lawrence J. Hinchcliffe, of New Britain, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Manchester and was daughter to the late James and Freida (Taube) Clifford.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and James Clifford of Hartford, as well as numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law. Betty is survived and will be missed by her two daughters, Lori-Ann Fuller (William) of New Britain, Jodi-Ann Hinchcliffe of New Britain and three sons, James Hinchcliffe (Susan) of Farmington, Lawrence Hinchcliffe (Danielle) of New Britain and John Hinchcliffe (Cathy) of Southington. She leaves nine grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Jenifer (Chris) Hughes, James Hinchcliffe, Jason (Jessica) Hinchcliffe, Brian (Monika) Fuller, Kenneth Scott (Kelsey), Diana Fuller (Henry), Megan Hinchcliffe, Nicholas Hinchcliffe and Jayleen Pare. Her newest joys were her two great-grandsons, Ethan Hughes and Adrian Fuller. Betty also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, many friends from the “old neighborhood” and associates/friends from the Stop & Shop deli, where she worked until her retirement. She leaves her beloved cat Sassy, who both comforted her and drove her crazy.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 5-8pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Smalley Street, New Britain on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception at Angelico’s Restaurant on East Main Street, New Britain.
