

Bronislaw Warjas-Of New Britain, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017. He was born in Poland, a son of the late Jan and Bronislawa (Sipiora) Warjas. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Church and worked as a Machinist at New Britain Machine and lastly at Stanley Works. His family lovingly jokes that “he is a cross between Mr. Fix-it and Macgyver. He could fix anything with an inner tube and a hanger.” He will be sorely missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Julia (Stopa) Warjas, his daughter Agatha Warjas of New Britain and his son Stefan Warjas and his wife Sylvia of Higganum, two grandchildren Max and Mila Warjas, and two brothers Stefan Warias and Ludwick Warias, both of Poland. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister Jozefa Malik, two step-sisters Maria Cyganowska and Wladyslawa Golec, his brothers Mieczyslaw Warias and Jozef Warias and his step-brother Julian Wolak.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 20, 2017 at 9AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial 10AM in Holy Cross Church, 31 Biruta St., New Britain. Burial services will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery chapel, 650 Burritt St., New Britain. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 4PM-8PM.
