

Carmelo Crisafulli, aged 66 years, passed away too soon on September 20, 2021, after a short and unexpected illness. He was born in Sicily, Italy and lived most of his life in New Britain. He is survived by his loving wife Jean, his sister Maria Pennell and husband Jim, brother Salvatore Crisafulli and wife Beverly, sister Josephine Ahern and Jim Ritskowski, nieces Tracy Crisafulli and Gillian Pennell, nephews Jaycen Crisafulli, Daniel Crisafulli, Chad Ahern and Craig Ahern, along with many aunts and cousins living both in the United States and Italy.
He served in the US Army 82nd Airborne division as a paratrooper for 3 years as well as in the Army Reserve for 3 years. He enjoyed bowling as a hobby and was a regular player on leagues. He was a great fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to his music and watching his movies. Carmelo was kind to all and a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle. Family was very important to him and loved to spend time with them, particularly loving to fish and hunt with his nephews and late brother-in-law Ronny Ahern. He also was enthusiastic about baking and making donuts, choosing the latter as his lifelong vocation.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, 9:00 AM September 27, 2021 at 9AM at the New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT
Friends and family are invited to pay their last respects from 8:30 AM till the time of service.
Burial with military honors will be at State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
