Carroll E Pottle

Carroll E. Pottle, age 88, of New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018 at Grandview Rehab in New Britain. Carroll was born on October 31, 1929 in Perry, ME to the late Mr. & Mrs. Wesley (Gladys Johnson) E. Pottle. Carroll married the late Ruth Wilson in the summer of 1950 and later was drafted into the Army during the Korean War in 1951 and served until 1953. He and his wife moved to New Britain in 1960 with their children. He was a bowling alley mechanic for many years before retiring. Carroll is survived by his sons Lawrence and his wife Sandy Pottle of Plainville, CT, David Pottle of Indiana and Robert Pottle of Florida, Brother Shirl Pottle and sister Maruelle Pottle both of Maine, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife he is predeceased by one daughter Vera Pottle and three brothers Richard, Leonard and Frank Pottle. A Life Remembrance Service of Life will be held on Saturday June 9th at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain from 10:30-12pm.
