Chester Robert Kinley III

Chester Robert (Chet/Bob) Kinley III, New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born July 21, 1946 in Hartford, CT. He was the beloved husband and best friend to his wife, Kathryn (Marold) Kinley. He was the son of the late Chester R Kinley, Jr. and Jean (Schum) Kinley.

In addition to his loving wife of 40 years, he is survived by his loving sons Chester R (Bobby) Kinley IV, William (Billy) D Kinley, Esq and his wife Demis (Christodlous) Kinley and was Grampy to his beloved grandson Logan Kinley. He is also survived by his loving sister Pamela (Kinley) Wild, and beloved niece Kathryn J Wild.

Bob was an accountant at Orion Insurance Group and Industrial Risk Insurers. After retirement he worked at the Newington Gun Exchange. Bob was an avid target shooter and was a member of the Mattabassett Gun Range. He was also president of the defunct Northeast Combat Pistol League. His most treasured times were at the gun range whether it was shooting or just talking with fellow shooters. He also enjoyed the outdoors whether it was camping with his family or hunting with his beloved dogs. And of course mowing the lawn.

Bob was a wonderful father who coached his sons various baseball and soccer teams. One of his most memorable times was fishing with his sons. But the times he treasured most was being Grampy to his precious grandson Logan.

Calling hours will be on Thursday August 1, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at New Britain Memorial Funeral-Donald D Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT.
