Clara G. Doucette

Clara was born to Anthony and Catherine (Gurak) Granski in New Britain on August 1, 1926. She lived all of her life in New Britain. She married her high school sweetheart, Maurice J. Doucette on May 8, 1948. He sadly predeceased her on June 28, 1997.

They had two daughters, Kathryn Block and her husband Neal of Bristol and Kristine Giraulo and her husband Anthony of Plainville and her two precious grandchildren: Michael Maurice Giraulo and Nicolette Giraulo and several nieces and nephews. Clara was also predeceased by a sister Mary Mac of New Britain, a brother Dr. Joseph A. Granski of New Britain and a sister, Helen T. Bingiel of New Britain. She worked as a legal secretary for several lawyers. She was a charter member of St. Jerome Church. She was a wonderful mother – grandmother and will be dearly missed.

A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 from 8:30-9:30am at the New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New .Britain, followed by her funeral liturgy at 10AM in St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd, New Britain, Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, 1309 Stanley St., New Britain.
