Claudette DeBlois, 84, of New Britain passed away on August 14, 2022 at Autumn Lake Healthcare. She was born in Lac-Megantic , Canada before settling in New Britain in 1962. She was employed in manufacturing at Peter and Paul Electronics before retiring. She was a parishioner of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in New Britain, as well as active in St. Jean the Baptiste Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandchildren and loved baking. She will be most remembered for making her famous potato salad, meat pies and date squares for family gatherings. She was predeceased in death by her husband Fernando DeBlois, brothers: Clermont, Benoit, Real, Jacques, Armand and sisters: Francoise, Madeleine and Lorraine. She is survived by sons Mark and his wife Debra of Newington, Mario and his wife Margaret of Newington, Serge and his wife Danielle of Farmington, brothers: Gaetan, Bertrand, Marc-Andre, Maurice, Normand, and sisters: Jeannine, Claire, Lisette, and Ginette, seven grandchildren: Austin, Roxanne, Erica, Autumn, Brenda, Lucas and Aubrey and one great grandchild, Hayden and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin Saturday August 20, 2022 at 9:30am at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Avenue New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Road, New Britain, CT 06053. Burial service is to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation hours will be August 19, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.
