Cora D. Bussiere Ward

She was born on July 18, 1921 in Oxford, ME, to the late Francois and Eva (LaFlamme) Bussieré. Cora was employed by Fafnir Bearing and was a parishioner of Saint Maurice Church.

Cora and Milton were members of the Square Dancing Teams and they enjoyed Square and Round Dancing and putting on shows for many years. She loved spending time with family and friends, and especially loved playing cards. Besides the love of Cora’s life, Milton, she will be dearly missed by her children; her son, Howard M. Ward Sr., and his wife, Frances; and her daughter, Sheila Ward and her husband John E. Labieniec, all of CT. She is also survived by; two sisters, Yvette Lachance of VA and Irene Lachance and her husband, Lionel of ME, her sweet five grandchildren; her granddaughter: Jennifer Skinnon and her husband Rob MacDougall,grandson: John Skinnon and his wife Gail Musumano, grandson: Howard M. Ward, Jr., granddaughter: Celina Ward and Abbie Evenie, granddaughter: Colleen and husband Al Henriques, her precious Great grandchildren: Haley Musumano, Miabella, Isabella and Ian Skinnon, Charlie and Owen MacDougall, Kathleen and Emma Henriques and Xavier Ward-Cardona, several nieces, nephews, god children and special neighbors and friends. Cora was also predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.

Special thanks are extended to the staff of Jerome Home for their many acts of kindness, support and taking such gentle and loving care of our beloved Cora.

Visitation services will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9:30-10:30am at the Fortin Funeral Home, 70 Horton St., Lewiston, followed by the funeral liturgy at 11AM in Sacred Heart Church, Auburn.
