Danny Andrew Rachel

Danny Rachel, 23 of Farmington died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. He was born in New Britain and was a graduate of Farmington High School, class of 2011, he attended CCSU studying engineering. Danny also attended Polish Language School in New Britain for many years. Danny was a vibrant spirit, whose energy filled the room; he always put his family first and loved spending time with them. He loved the outdoors, playing football and made others laugh with his jokes.

He was the beloved son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Malszewski) Rachel of Farmington; he leaves his brother David Rachel and a sister Sylvia Rachel. Also surviving is his paternal grandmother, Joanna Rachel; aunt and uncle, Grace and Richard Wojtusiak and their children, Vanessa, Victoria and William Wojtusiak; aunt and uncle Christopher and Sylvia Rachel; uncle Ryszard Rachel; aunt and uncle Wienczyslawa and Witold Maliszewski; and cousins, Ralph and Michael; aunt and uncle Jan and Alina Maliszewski in Poland as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Poland.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. New Britain. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain. Directions: Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, funeral home is 1 ½ miles on your right.
