Dorothy M. Ruggiero

Dorothy M. (Conlon) Ruggiero, 95, widow of Leonard Ruggiero since 1995, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2016. She was born in Enfield, and was daughter to the late David R. and Ida (Sweet) Conlon. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her trips to the casinos, the beach and ensuring her home was open to everyone.

She is survived and will be missed by her seven cherished children: Sandra and Jim Nedwell of Tolland, Linda Payer of Vernon, Sharon and Michael Turek of PA., Hans Wager of FL., Susan and Tom Burke of Waterbury, Karl and Linda Wagner of New Britain and Leonard and Suzanne Ruggiero of New Britain, her precious fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many loving nieces and nephews, including Becky Robbons and Karen Gowdy.

Dorothy was predeceased by several brothers and a sister, most recently by a brother Charles Conlin and his wife Lois.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 4-6pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain.

Family and friends are invited Monday, August 22, 2016 for a Prayer service 10:00am at the funeral home, with burial following in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, 282 Washington St.,Hartford, CT
