

Edward A. Sobuta, 88, beloved husband of Joan T. (Apanavich) Sobuta, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was born in Providence, RI and son of the late Alexander and Salomea (Granko) Sobuta. Edward proudly served in the US Army during WWII, 1943 in Africa, Sicily, Italy and Southern France and was awarded 6 Purple Hearts, discharging as a First Lieutenant. Mr. Sobuta was also a member of the 3rd Inf. Div. of N.Y. State, VFW, the Pulmonary Group of the Hospital for Special Care and the Farmington Senior Center. He was also the owner of Lin-Lou Bakery in Plainville, CT.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, in addition to his beloved wife Joan of almost 65 years, he is survived and will be dearly missed by; a son, Edward A. Sobuta, Jr., of Bristol, three daughters; Marcia Falco of Willimantic, Carol Flis of Columbia and Denise Pace of Coventry, his eight precious grandchildren; Sara Kravitsky, Amy Sobuta, Marissa Falco, Mia Falco, Alexander, Jeffrey and Gregory Flis and Jennifer Pace and three sweet great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visitation hours on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 1-4pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Prayer Service at 4:00pm., Full Military Honors will follow the prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
