Edward Tanski

Edward Tanski, 68 of New Britain, died at home on Monday, July 27, 2015 with his devoted family by his side. He was born in Poland and has lived in New Britain for 50 years. He retired from Rosol Meat Products after over 40 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, was an avid sports enthusiast, and enjoyed nature, biking, walking, dancing but most of all loved being with his family and friends. Edward was the son of Marianna (Warzych) Tanski and the later Stanislaw Tanski. Edward is survived by his devoted wife, Maria (Lachasz) Tanski. He leaves his beloved children with their spouses, Donna and Matthew Johnson of Wolcott; Lester and Kimberly Tanski of Bristol and five precious grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Brittany, Alexa, Matthew, Katherine and Violet. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters with their spouses, Stanley and Teresa Tanski; Richard and Bonnie Tanski of Bristol; Eugene and Maria Tanski of Berlin; Jadwiga and Gary Labbe of Southington; Regina and Tony Carreiro of East Hartford, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 10:00 am from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
