Elena Marie Martin

Born in New Britain , daughter of the late Joseph and Elena (Giovagnoli) Liistro, she was a Long time Newington resident , also living in Texas, and Pennsylvania with her Late Husband Kenneth Martin. For 20 plus years Elena was employed By Walmart , which she loved. She had an absolute love for Crocheting , Crafting, Camping, Playing cards, Baking, Christmas , Bingo, Traveling and just spending time with her family.

She is Survived by her four children , James Alexander and his wife Keri, of Newington, Janna Quealy and her husband Martin of East Hartford, Bruce Alexander and his wife Jessica of Newington , and Lisa Hoyt and her husband Jeremy of Newington; also leaving behind her Beloved Grandchildren Jordan, Madison, Jaydin , Faith, Hunter, Ryan, Makayla , Kaitlyn, Dylan, Dakota , Liam, Mason, Dominic , and Jayce . She also leaves behind her Brothers and Sisters, Ann Marie Zappone ,Paul Liistro, Joseph F. Liistro, Jr , AnnMarie Liistro, and Norma Liistro. Also her very loved cat Kali, and several nieces , nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Elena's life will be celebrated on Sunday, September 20th, 2026 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain.
