Preceded in death by her husband, Richard August Essel, she is survived by her son, Frederick A. Essel of Bristol; her daughter Linda E. Mueller and husband, Hans, of Georgetown, Texas; and grandsons, Eric McDonnell and wife, Kristina, of Seattle, Washington and Craig McDonnell, wife, Shelley, and great-grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth and William Craig of Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Elizabeth retired from Lord & Taylor in West Hartford. She was very active in the Plainville Senior Center where she was well known for her artistic ability and doll making.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13th at 10AM followed by a small prayer service at 11AM at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
