Elizabeth C. Perzan

Elizabeth (Betty) Perzan, age 96, of New Britain, departed peacefully from this world June 13, 2016 after a short illness at Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. She was born on August 12, 1919 to Boleslaw and Maryanna (Mlynarczyk) Perzan. She was a beloved sister, aunt, caregiver and friend. Betty will always be remembered for her loving, compassionate, selfless demeanor. She was an angelic soul impressing everyone she met with kindness. Betty enjoyed her family, traveling, beach combing, gardening, cooking, sewing and crocheting. She was a parishoner of both Sacred Heart Church and Saint Anne's Church. She was a devout catholic who lived her faith in her heart and soul.

She leaves her sister Regina DeDuck, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. She was predeceased by brothers Walter, Henry, Boleslaw and Chester, a sister Cecilia Banulski and many other family members and friends.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the kindness and compassion of all the healthcare providers at Hospital of Central CT, Monsignor Bojnowski Manor and Hartford Home HealthCare. A special thanks to the Sisters and Staff of St Lucian's Residence for providing Betty with a safe, comforting and spiritual community to thrive in.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 17th, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 18th at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain, CT, followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
