It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Elizabeth “Bell” Sikora on March 8, 2020 after a long struggle. Elizabeth retired after more than 25 years working in the facilities department at the University of CT, a career she was very proud of. She was also known for working in concessions at the Civic Center and sharing leftover popcorn and pretzels at the end of her shift. Remembered for: Taking charge, working hard and playing hard. She was the go to person to get things fixed or repaired. Her daughter often said “my mommy can fix it”. She made friends everywhere she went and kept family, friends and strangers on their toes often with an inappropriate joke or story. She never missed an opportunity to help someone when they were in a jam. She loved her animals and never was without four legged companions.

A time of visitation will be held Saturday, March 14th from 9:30am to 11:30 at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home located at 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT. A funeral home service will follow at 11:30am. My fondest memories of Bell are the times we spent at Markham Meadows. It was a time before her struggles had begun to overpower her and it is how I will always remember her.I will miss you my friend but I will take comfort in knowing that your struggles are over and you finally have the peace that you were not able to find in this life.DOG and the kitties will also miss their mommy who loved them unconditionally.

I was saddened to hear of Bell's passing. I worked at the UConn campus in West Hartford, and anytime you needed something done in facilities , if you asked Bell she got it done.
Loved her sense of humor, and she always spoke of her daughter with pride. She will be missed. Condolences to the family.

You made us all laugh. You helped me get in trouble. Times spent with you was always an adventure. We all had fun at Meadowlands, Elmer's(free pizza night), Rocking Horse( 3 gal. iced teas) ..........Lots of laughs at the lake!
You were never without a smoke and a joke!
Well my friend, I hope God has a good sense of humor because he is going to need it with you! Give Bobbie and Joe a hug!💖
May you rest easy and find the peace you deserve!
Until we meet again.

Awww will truly be missed! 😢 There wasn’t really anything that you couldn’t fix! You always made me laugh and smile! I enjoyed your visits in my office, and loved our phone conversations after I moved away! You were the life of every party 🤪, and you had a kind and considerate heart! There was no gray area with you, either people liked you or they didn’t, and if they didn’t, they just didn’t know you very well! I hope and pray that all the pain has left your body, and your mind and soul are at peace. Heaven will surely appreciate your humor and it’s bound to be an even more happier if not livelier place to be since you arrived!
