Elsie Marie (Bendlin) Archaski, 90, widow of Louis John Archaski, of New Britain, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Southington Care Center. She was born in Mt. Vernon, New York, daughter to the late Edward Jacob and Estelle Marie (Eckwerth) Bendlin. Elsie was an active member of First Lutheran of the Reformation Church in New Britain. She sang in their choir and belonged to their Mid-Ways Group, which allowed her to travel extensively. Elsie loved music and sang in the New Britain Chorale for many years.
Elsie also enjoyed spending time with her extensive family and looked forward to family gatherings.
She is survived by her children: Thomas Edward Archaski and his wife, Lucy of Bristol, Steven John Archaski and his fiancée, Debra Scarlett of New Britain, and Paul Richard Archaski and his husband, Steven Banasiewicz of Southington, a grandchild and great-grandchild. She also leaves a brother, Edward Henry Bendlin and his wife, Elaine of Southbury, several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Elsie was also predeceased by her son, Michael Louis Archaski.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5-8PM at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Friday, May 17, 2019 for her funeral services at 10AM at First Lutheran Church, 77 Franklin Square, New Britain.
