Elzbieta "Wanda" Oberc

Elzbieta “Wanda" Oberc died, September 6th, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zdzislaw Oberc. She was born in Poland in January 1940. She moved to the United States from Krakow, Poland in 1978 with her husband and three children, settling first in New Britain, and then in Bristol. She lived and worked for decades in Connecticut, before retiring and living in Nevada for the last 9 years. She will be remembered for her unwavering love and support of her family and grandchildren, and for the incredible amount of help and guidance she gave over the years to her family and all who needed help. She was loved deeply by her family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Marzena Oberc-Habzda, her daughter’s husband Peter Habzda, both of Texas, and daughter Mariola Oberc-Germaine, of Connecticut. As well as her three grandchildren, Alexander, Angelica, and Eric.

Darek “Dariusz” Oberc died August 6th, 2021 in San Bernardino, California. He was born in Poland in March 1967. He moved to the United States in 1978, lived and worked in Connecticut and Rhode Island for many years. He lived and worked in Las Vegas, Nevada for the last 21 years. He will be remembered for his love of adventure and the outdoors. He was loved greatly by all who knew him, and he will be missed by family and friends. He is survived by his sisters Marzena Oberc-Habzda, of Texas, and Mariola Oberc-Germaine, of Connecticut, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are to be held for both Elzbieta and her son Darek on Tuesday, January 11th 2022. A procession will assemble at 8:30AM at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT 06053. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. New Britain. Burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
