Emil J. DelCegno

Emil J. DelCegno, 94, beloved husband of Angeline (DiMauro) DelCegno, of Bristol, passed away on July 27, 2013. Emil was born in New Britain and was son to the late Fausto and Ruth (Martino) DelCegno. He was a member of St. Ann Church, ran Bingo Events on Tuesday nights at the Marconi Club and was a proud U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Emil was also a retiree of American Hardware after 41 years of service. A devoted husband and father, he cherished time spent with family including caring for Angeline for many years. In addition to his beloved wife Angeline of 63 yrs., he is also survived and will be missed by his two sons; John DelCegno and wife Sally of Sarasota, FL and David DelCegno and wife Cheryl of Bristol, three grandchildren; Michael, Jonathan and Steven, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Anthony, Gina, and Angela whom he also considered like grandchildren. The DelCegno family would like to extend a special thanks to the family and friends involved in his care, especially the staff at the Jerome Home. A time of visitation will be held Monday morning, July 29, 2013 from 8am-9:30am followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM in St. Ann Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
