Eugeniusz Lichniak

Eugeniusz Jan Lichniak, age 72, of New Britain, CT, beloved husband of Anna Lichniak, passed away from cancer on Monday, March 19, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Eugeniusz was born in Warsaw, Poland on March 15, 1954. He was son of the late Daniela (Nowalska) and the late Leszek Lichniak. He belonged to many Polish organizations like the Polonia Paderewski Choir and the Polish Falcons. He was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain, CT. He retired from Beacon Industry in Bloomfield, CT after devoting years of his life to being a great CNC machinist.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna, his son Michael and his wife Kendra of Ocean Pines, MD and his loving grandson Henryk, his sister Wanda Wisnowski along with her husband Joe of Kensington, CT, his brother Gregory Lichniak and his partner Andrew Altman of Watertown, MA, along with nieces with families and other relatives in Poland. He will also be missed by the multitude of friends and their families that he spent lots of time with over the years.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life starting with visitation, which will be held in New Britain Memorial - Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue in New Britain, CT on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 8:30 - 10:30am.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 11am.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery 662 Buritt St, New Britain, CT at 12:00pm.
