Exelda (Savoie) Goguen, 97, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021. Born on September 11, 1923 in the rural town of Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Ernest and Marguerite (Cormier) Savoie, she was the oldest of ten children. After moving to the United States, Exelda resided in New Britain, CT with her husband of 67 years, Aldrice Goguen. Exelda worked tirelessly alongside Aldrice for over 25 years, as co-owners of Al’s Auto Upholstery. Exelda lived a full life and in her later years enjoyed going out for weekend lunches with family. Exelda was beloved by all and will be greatly missed by her family: son Paul Goguen and his wife Gail; daughter Rose Marie Johnson; son Claude Goguen; brothers Abel and Gerald Savoie; sister Theresa Allain; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nephews and nieces. Exelda is predeceased by her husband Aldrice, brothers Aquila, Laurie, and Norman, sisters Eva, Cecelia, and Edith, and grandson Jody Goguen.
