

She was born in Patrica, Frosinone, Italy and has lived in New Britain for most of her life. Fiorina was a member of St. Ann’s Church Ladies Guild and St. Ann's Seniors, St. Francis Society, Sacred Heart Society and the Francesconi Society. She retired from Top Coat Company after many years of service.
Fiorina was the widow of Peter Mazzonna and was also predeceased her sister, Gina Salvati.
Fiorina was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was loving and nurturing her family and she will be missed dearly by all of them.
Fiorina is survived by her devoted daughters with their families: Maria and Joseph DeFazio of New Britain, Tina and Nick DeFazio of Florida, Grace and Dominic Gulli of Southington. She leaves eight beloved grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Theresa Saucier, Peter and Robert DeFazio, Teresa Crews, Rina Remmers, David, Peter and Thomas Gulli and their respective families. Fiorina also leaves behind nine precious great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers and a sister: Vincent Salvati of Stratford, Chris Salvati of New Jersey, Annie Arduini of Rocky Hill, several nieces and nephews and their respective families.
Funeral service will be on Monday April 19, 2010 at 9:00 AM the New Britain Memorial & Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain (directions: I-84, right off #37, 1 ½ miles on right) followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Garden Mausoleum. Calling hours will be on Sunday, April 18th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Fiorina’s family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to the staff at the Jefferson’s House for their loving and compassionate care of their mother. “Mama,” or “Bella Mia,” will always be close at heart.
