Francis "Frank" Maratta

He was the much loved son of the Daphne (Gostlin) Maratta of New Britain and the late Dominick Maratta.

Frank attended E C Goodwin Technical School. He enjoyed working with his family as part of Maratta’s Catering and worked as a Limousine Driver; he spent many years coaching and umpiring New Britain Little League baseball. He also spent a number of years in the Merchant bowling league at Laurel Lanes in Plainville. He was an avid golfer and for many years was a member of the Stanley Golf Course men’s club winning the Herald City Golf championship in 1989. His greatest joy was being with his family and friends.

Besides his mother, Daphne Maratta he is survived by two brothers and a sister with their spouses, Gary and Roberta Maratta of Farmington, Mark and Robin Maratta of Hawaii, Kathleen and Sam Morey of Colchester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain. Memorial service will follow calling hours at 6:00 PM at the funeral home, Directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right.
