

It is with deep love that we remember Halina Dziedzic, 85, who passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted mother, grandmother and friend known for her warmth, quiet strength, and the beauty she brought into the lives of others. Halina was the beloved wife of the late Edward Dziedzic and the cherished mother and grandmother Babci of four children and four grandchildren, whom she adored. She was born on August 7, 1940, in Przemysl Poland a daughter of the late Andrzej and Anna Koziorynska.
Halina immigrated to the United States in 1967 and became a resident of New Britain where she resided for the past 58 years. She retired from Fafnir Bearing after more than 20 years of service. Halina was a woman of strong faith and an active member of Sacred Heart Church where each of her four children attended school. She was an avid cook, known for her delicious Polish cuisine especially her famous pierogi. Her presence in the kitchen brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure of sharing a meal with her. Halina found her greatest joy in gardening, where she nurtured not only flowers but a sense of peace where she welcomed everyone who visited. She never missed an opportunity to share a bouquet from her garden.
She is survived by her four children; Val Dziedzic of New Britain, Andy (Irene) Dziedzic of Cromwell, Eva (Brian) Bonenfant of Southington and Dorothy Dziedzic of Southport, four grandchildren; Andrew Dziedzic, Cali Bonenfant, Jacob Bonefant and Joshua Bonenfant, her brother Bogdan Koziorynski of Poland, as well as nieces and nephews in Poland. She was predeceased by a sister; Teresa Kikiela and a brother; Orest Koziorynski.
Halina's funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain, CT, every one is asked to meet directly at church. Burial next to her husband at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 24 from 5-7pm at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home., 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain.
