Harold Latham Pellett, Jr., loving husband of 61 years to Luise Bayerle Pellett, passed peacefully in his wife’s arms on April 5, 2018. He is predeceased by his mother, Jesse MacDonald; his father Harold Latham Pellett Sr., two sons, Harold Latham Pellett III, and Malcolm Stuart Pellett.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Gallimore, his two daughters, Lisa (George Gallagher); Glynnis Maes and daughter-in-law Marcela Pellett. He leaves six grandchildren; Allison (Chris Collings); Nicholas (Crissy Maes); Kaitlin (Eddie Twist); Jonny Maes; Harold Latham Pellett IV: Marc Pellett and four great grandchildren; Caden, Kai and Avery Twist and Latham Blaine Maes.
Harold proudly served in the US Air-Force. On discharge, Hal enrolled in the New England School of Art to pursue his creative talents. He excelled in his studies and in his last year of school he was approached to join the ranks of a major ad agency as an assistant art director to one of Boston’s most respected art directors.
In 1965 Hal began a 27-year career with the Grand Union Company achieving and retiring from the position of corporate Director of Advertising. Hal was an avid golfer and enjoyed his family.
A graveside service will be held, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1PM at Grove Cemetery, Windsor Locks where he will be interred in the Pellett Family plot. He will be presented with full military honors and a bagpiper playing Amazing Grace. New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home was entrusted.
