Henry R. Rzewnicki

He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict and retired from Homes Transportation Company after 35 years of service, more recently worked at CVS Pharmacy in Farmington.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alvira (Apruzzese) Rzewnicki and his daughter Elaine Basile and her husband Stephen of New Britain. He is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Leon Rzewnicki of Fl; Robert Rzewnicki and his wife, Madelyn of New Britain and Felicia Edminston of New Britain.

He leaves two grandchildren Christopher Basile and his wife, Sarah of New Briain and Nicholas Basile of Springfield, MA, and two great grandchildren, Sophie Lynn and Jonathan and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will begin Friday, December 9, 2011 at 10:00am from the New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:00am at St. Jerome Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Directions: Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit 1 ½ miles on your right..
