Herbert Hans Holter, 77, of New Britain passed away on December 7th, 2018 he was surrounded by his family. He was born in West Germany on January 26th, 1941. He migrated to the United States in 1957 with his parents. He was only 16 when he got his first barbering job on Arch st in New Britain, only to eventually own the International Hairstylist on Broad st in New Britain 1971. Herbert also owned The Sports Palace indoor soccer club on Broad st. in New Britain, Which everyone knows of from partying with him, to toasting to “PARTY TIME ALL THE TIME!” He always had by his side his loving wife Yolanda Marie Holter (Breton) of 52 years that started with a snowball fight and it was love from there on by his side physically and spiritually looking out for him with her feisty self. (passed July 7th, 2015) Herbert was the member of the Falcon Club on the corner of Washington and Broad st, and the Austrian Club on Arch st in New Britain. Herb received several trophies for his talents for hairstyling at the many hair shows he attended. If you knew Herb you’d know his passion for soccer from playing soccer with many different teams throughout his life to coaching one team of New Britain “The New Britain Stars” to watching every game in the back of the hair salon living it up with friends. He got many many trophies for his achievements in soccer to then get nominated to be apart of the soccer hall of fame in 2010 which was a big impact to herb. He will be missed by his children Monique Holter-Jagiello (daughter), Claudine Holter (daughter), Herbert Holter III (deceased) (son), Herbert Holter Jr. (son), his seven grandchildren Jonathan Rouleau, Kyle Rouleau, Chantel Grzelak-Delgado with her husband Adrian Delgado, Calabrea Holter, Jenise Holter, Herbert Holter V, and Chancie Holter-Reyes following her daughter Ariella Holter-Contreras his first great grandchild. His sister Connie DiDomenico, brother Moxie Sumislawski with his wife Lee Ann Sumislawski, and many many nieces and nephews. Herb didn’t believe in traveling when you retire he always lived for the moment with trips to different countries, and islands with Santo Domingo being his number one with his crew every year. He loved going cruising that he started to share the cruising life with his family bringing them to together. Herb was all about family including his Broad street family. Herb was a fun loving person who spoke his mind loving his life like everyday was his birthday. That was Herb Holter everybody’s friend and the father of Broad st. and that's how we should remember and honor him and don’t forget PARTY TIME ALL THE TIME! A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday Dec.13, 2018 at 7PM at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT.
