Jadwiga Pietrzak, 86, of New Britain, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 1, 2016. She was born in Rydzewo, Poland. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in New Britain. Jadwiga was a machine operator at Stanley Works for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening and knitting.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Mieczyslaw Wojciechowski and her son Jerzy Pietrzak. She is survived by her loving daughter Barbara Palen and her husband Mark of Southington, her daughter-in-law Elzbieta Pietrzak of New Britain, her brother Fredek Dambrowski of Poland, two grandchildren Edyta Zyzdorf and her husband Mirek of Marlborough and Keith Palen and his wife Raquel of New Britain, four great-grandchildren Samantha and Sebastian Zyzdorf, Andrew Zumbroski and Janessa Ortiz.
Funeral services will be Wednesday December 7, 2016 at 9AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, follow by the Liturgy of Christian Burial, 10AM in Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, all in New Britain. Visiting hours are Tuesday December 6, 2016 from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
