Jakub “Jake” Dziemaszkiewicz Jakub Dziemaszkiewicz, 43, of Bristol, Connecticut, entered eternal rest on October 16, 2026. He left us much too soon, leaving behind a legacy of courage, compassion, dedication, and unconditional love.
Known to his family and friends as Jake, he was born in Poland to Janusz and Elzbieta Dziemaszkiewicz. At a young age, he immigrated to the United States with his family and settled in Bristol, Connecticut, where he developed a deep sense of duty and a desire to serve his country. Jake answered that calling by enlisting in the United States Army as an 11B Infantryman. In 2004, he deployed to Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, serving his country with courage and dedication.
Jake was deeply proud of his Polish heritage and cherished the culture, traditions, and values he grew up with. He carried his Polish roots close to his heart, finding joy in traditional Polish cuisine, family traditions, and the connection to the country where his story began. His love for Polish culture remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.
Jake had a love for life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and fishing. He also had a profound love for animals, especially his beloved German Shepherd, Roxy, who held a special place in his heart. Jake was deeply committed to his education and personal growth. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree and, in 2024, completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA). These accomplishments reflected his determination, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to bettering himself. No matter the challenges he faced, Jake continued to push forward, setting an example of resilience, ambition, and dedication. Following his military service, helping fellow veterans became one of Jake's greatest passions. He dedicated his professional career to serving veterans through his work at the Department of Veterans Affairs, continuing his commitment to those who had served our country.
Above all else, Jake cherished being a father. His two boys, Kris and Tommy, were the center of his world and his greatest joy. The time he spent with them was what he treasured most, and his love and devotion to them were immeasurable. They were his greatest accomplishment, and he took immense pride in being their dad. Jake will be remembered as a compassionate, hardworking, courageous, and unforgettable man. He was a man of honesty, integrity, and strong convictions, someone who valued sincerity and stayed true to who he was. His character, determination, and dedication to the people he loved left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His life touched many, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot express. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will live on forever.
Jake leaves behind his beloved sons, Krzysztof Dziemaszkiewicz, age 9, and Tomasz Dziemaszkiewicz, age 8; his former wife, Allison Dziemaszkiewicz; his fiancée, Christine Bowes, and her daughter, Adalyn Rzewuski; and his loving mother, Elzbieta Dziemaszkiewicz. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jake's memory to support his beloved sons, Krzysztof and Tomasz, would be deeply appreciated. Contributions can be made through the family's GoFundMe page:
