

Jeanne (Lessard) St. Laurent, 81, of Fox Run Court, Newington, loving wife and homemaker of the late Louis St. Laurent, passed away on Sunday (Sept. 16, 2012). Born on April 14, 1931 in Notre-Dame-des-Bois, QC, Canada, she was the middle child of the seven children to Joseph and Josephine (Beaudry) Lessard. She lived in Newington for the last 39 years and was a member of St. Mary Church and La Rencontre. Jeanne touched the hearts of many and was also a nanny for many years in her home and was always there to listen and will be missed dearly. She leaves her sons, Michel and his wife Pierrette of LaPatrie, QC, Canada, Camille of East Hartford and Denis of Newington and four daughters, Louise LeBlanc (predeceased) and husband Norman (Debra Stauch) of Claremont, New Hampshire, Claire Grant, Carol Beattie and husband James of Wethersfield and Susan Gaetano and husband James of Newington; 11 grandchildren, Michel (Meagan), Patrick (Claire-Hélène), Alain (Sandrine), Bruce (Céline), Shaun (Angela), Alanna (Scott), Kelly (Jeremy (predeceased)), Lee, Danielle (Chase), Paige and Jacqueline and 10 great grandchildren including Maxime, Alexis, Zachary, Isaac, Maïtée, Jayden, Madison, Taylor, Mallary, Adele and Artie; her brothers, Aurele and his wife Lucille, Bertrand (predeceased) and his wife Lugarde, and her sisters Reine-Claire (predeceased) and her husband George Dupuis (predeceased), Therese and her husband Laurent Halle, Laurette (predeceased) and her husband Robert Boucher (predeceased), and Simone (predeceased) and her husband Clement Grenier. She also leaves her brothers-in-law Roland and Joseph St. Laurent (predeceased) and his wife Louise (predeceased) of Montreal, QC, Canada and Gerard St. Laurent and his wife Rose-Annette of South Windsor, Lina (St. Laurent) Tellier and her husband Alphonse (predeceased) of Sherbrooke, QC, Canada and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Sept. 19th, from 5:00-8:00pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, (directions Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right. Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 9:00am at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary Church in Newington. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain.
