

Jennie M. (Mangiafico) DiMauro, 99, of New Britain, passed way, Tuesday, October 22. Jennie was born in New Britain, a daughter of the late, Conrad and Rose (Cultrera) Mangiafico and a lifelong resident. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church and was a member of the St. Ann’s Ladies Guild. She was a seamstress and later a salesperson at Raphael’s Department Store. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and spent most of her time in her younger days sewing beautiful clothes for her family. She will be most remembered for her delicious pasta sauce and meatballs as well as many other Italian dishes. She will be missed for her unending devotion and concern for her entire family, even in her last remaining days. She was predeceased by her husband Jack DiMauro. She is survived by her loving son Salvatore DiMauro and his wife Ann Marie of Farmington, her seven grandchildren Susan Sokolowski and her husband Jim, Jack Banks and his wife Johanna, Janet Jermakian and her husband David, Glenn Banks and his wife Christine, Richard DiMairo and his wife Judy, Kenneth DiMauro and his wife Eileen and Salvatore DiMauro, Jr., her 10 great-grandchildren Lauren Armack and her husband Jim, Eric, Mark, Cameron, Jack, Garrett, Curtis, Andrew, Vanessa and Jack, her nephews Salvatore Miano and Thomas Miano, and her niece Connie Fusco, her goddaughter Barbara Pawlow and son-in-law Harold Banks. Jennie was pre-deceased by her daughter Nancy Banks and her sisters Lucy Mazzarella and Pauline Amenta. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 29th at 9AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial, 10AM in St. Ann’s Church, burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, all in New Britain.
