He was born in Poland and had lived in New Britain for many years.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and retired from the Bogdan Nozewski Meat Product store.
He is survived by his wife, Czeslawa (Slepecka) Komosa; his son, George Komosa of Florida; and a granddaughter, Yvonne. He is also survived by a sister, Stanislawa Bialczak of New Britain, and two sisters in Poland, Wladyslawa Tabaka and Kazimiera Plodzicka; a sister-in-law, Veronica Komosa in New Britain. He was predeceased by his first wife, Zofia (Kuczynska) Komosa and two brothers and two sisters, Joseph and Stanislaw Komosa, Marianna Funk and Zofia Brzozowa.
Funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 2 at 8:30 a.m. at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:15 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, Sept. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
