Jose E Rivera,79,passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 15, 1946 in Caguas, Puerto Rico a son of the late Damaso and Pedraza Rivera. Jose worked for Precision Dynamic Corp for 35 years before retiring.
He is survived by his sisters; Rosa (Gerardo A.) Portalatin and Carmen I Rivera, brother Jose A. Rivera, step-sons; Luis S. Oquendo and Jerry Oquendo, a special niece Damaris Portalatin and her sons Connor Haffner and Kai Arroyo as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT 06053, with a visitation from 10-11, prior to the funeral. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Mausoleum, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain.
