Joseph S. Garofalo, 38 of New Britian, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at home. Survived by his wife Meghan (Maslauskas) Garofalo and his son Sebby and daughter Maggie. He was the son of Sebastian and Florence (Costa) Garofalo of New Britain. His sisters and their families, Nella and William Stelzner and their son Paul; Lena and Dale Cefaratti and their daughters Dana and Jenna; and Nancy Garofalo also survive Joey.
He was a devoted husband and a loving father whose passion for sports carried through out his entire life. His warm and beautiful smile will be remembered by many relatives and friends and those whom he coached in sports.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “ Garofalo Children’s Trust Fund” at Peoples Bank.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 12:00 PM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home. 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT Directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit 1 ½ miles on your right.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their last respect on Thursday Morning from 10 AM till the time of service.
