Kassandra Lee Vega, 12, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2019. She was born in Hartford, a daughter of Samuel Jr. and Leslie (Ramos) Vega. She was a member of the Centro Jubilo El Olam Church and part of the Dressler Law family in Hartford. Kassandra was entering the 6th grade this year at ESM at Mary Hooker School in Hartford. She enjoyed arts, crafts, dancing, painting on canvas and was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage. Kassandra’s life taught us to pause, to reflect, to appreciate the time we have together and to know that each moment is precious. To see the good and make memories to realize that angels walk among us. Let us never forget her infectious smile that would light up any room she walked into. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters Arielle Reyes and Samantha Vega, both of New Britain, her maternal grandparents, Lydia Ramos of New Britain and the late Jose Ramos, her paternal grandparents Leonor Cotto of Hartford and the late Samuel Vega Sr. and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins. Kassandra’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 30th, at 11AM at the New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict’s Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd. Bloomfield, CT. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4PM-8PM and Friday morning from 10AM-11AM.
