Krzysztof Plewa Age: 63, widower of Katarzyna Plewa, since June 2019 of Bristol, CT. On May 5th, 2021 Krzysztof passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side at the Hospital of Central Connecticut after a brief illness. Krzysztof was born May 26, 1957 in Nowy Targ, Poland to the late parents Stanislaw and Janina previously residing in Nowy Targ, moved with his wife and children to Wielun, Poland before settling in Bristol, CT. He graduated and attended technical school for tailoring leather and fur jackets.
Krzysztof was employed by B&N Aerospace. He was a veteran, having served in the Polish Air Force.
He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaw church in Bristol. He married his wife Katarzyna at the age of 21 and they made their home in Wielun, Poland. In their mid 40s they moved to United States with three of their children. Krzysztof was a devoted husband and father who cherished time spent with family. In addition to raising their children, he maintained his career as a machine operator. A lighthearted man, he had a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor. He was a man of few words dignified and honorable with a golden heart. Talented cook, he loved cooking for his family and sharing stories at the table. He was a generous, giving person, always ready to help out those in need. He loved his family and expressed his love through his actions and being present. He loved to travel and explore new places. His happy place was to walk along the beach and to be surrounded with family and friends. Krzysztof will be most remembered for his dedication to his family, sense of humor and loving nature. Krzysztof will be dearly missed by: his son Mariusz Plewa and his wife Agnieszka Filipowicz, his son Slawomir Plewa and his wife Katarzyna Plewa, his daughter Agnieszka Plewa and her partner Bartlomiej Radziszewski, his grandchildren Dominic, Sebastian, Vanessa and Savannah, his partner Anna Ziolkowski, his family in Poland, and dear friends.
Plewa's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the family and friends for their many acts of kindness and support during his illness.
Funeral Liturgy will begin at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain. Private showing to the immediate family only before church, per Krzysztof wishes. In lieu of flowers or Memorial donations in his memory may also be made to Venmo account @Aga-Monika.
