Ksenia (Konoplicka) Grecki, 84, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 after a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph Grecki. Ksenia was born May 23, 1927 in Nowogrodek, Poland. They previously lived in England and Massachusetts before settling in New Britain, where they made a home and raised a family. Ksenia was formerly employed by Emhart Corporation and was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.
She leaves a son; Charles of New Britain, daughter Christine and her husband John Switajewski of Southington, her grandchildren, Dana and John Switajewski Jr., and Danielle, Ted and Joey Grecki and a nephew Henry Rzeszutek of Newington. She was predeceased by her son John, husband Joseph and sister Maria Rzeszutek.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 9:15am from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am in Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
