

Louella G. (Chasse) Zup, 75 passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2012 after a long battle with emphysema. She was born in Fort Kent, Maine and was the daughter of Clovis and Rose (Bouchard) Chasse. Louella worked at the Newington Children’s Hospital for two years. She enjoyed live shows in New York and Connecticut, and many bus tours to different states with her husband. Louella is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Edmund Zup of Newington and two sons, Ronald Zup and wife, Lisa and granddaughter Heather of Plainville; Steven Zup and partner Nancy Hall and granddaughter, Amanda and Lauren Zup of Kensington. She is survived by two brothers, Patrick Chasse of New Hampshire and Gilman Chasse and wife, Jean of Clearwater, FL and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves a sisters in law Dorothy Lenoce and husband Joseph and, Mildred Schilling both of FL; Sisters in law, Patricia Howse of CA; Martha Roulard of New Britain; Shirley Morneault of Middletown and Jean Spencer of East Berlin. She leaves best friends Florence Conner of Kensington and Lucy Cowperthwaite of Newington; She was predeceased by sister Louise Pelletier and brother Reymold. Services will begin Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 11:00 am with a memorial service at 12:00 pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, Burial will follow in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington..
