

She was born Feb. 6, 1922 in Laurierville, Quebec Province, Canada to the late Amadelice J and Marie L. (Gosselin) Bilodeau. Lucille moved to the US in 1924 and lived in Farmington for over 72 years. She worked at Travelers Ins. Co. in Hartford for many years retiring in 1984. Lucille was an active member of East Farms Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and St. Patrick’s Church Women’s Club. Lucille treasured her time camping across the United States and Canada with her husband and loved summer vacations at Cape Cod with her family, trips to Passadumkeag, ME, gardening, cooking, the outdoor life, playing the piano and banjo.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Lucille will be dearly missed by her three sons and their wives; Edward and Marian Parker of Rocky Hill, Thomas and Christine Parker of Avon and Gary and Cynthia Parker of Salem, MA; her six grandchildren that were her pride and joy: Lauren, Brian, Shannon, Mathew, Justin and Ryan. Her sisters and brothers, Georgette Reynolds of Farmington, Doris Abraham of Panama City, FL, Bernard Bilodeau of Orlando, FL, Donald Bilodeau of Farmington and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was predeceased by her brothers: Roger and Raymond Bilodeau.

Funeral services will begin Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 9:45am from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, Farmington. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. Visitation hours will be held Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 from 5-7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Lucille’s memory to: Susan G.
