Lucy Gibilisco

Lucy was born on February 28, 1921 in New York to Salvatore and Carmela (Farinella) Messina. She was the beloved wife of Sebastian Gibilisco who predeceased her. Lucy worked as a seamstress as an inspector for Fafnir Bearing until she retired. She loved to cook and be with her family.

Lucy is predeceased by her beloved son Thomas. She is survived by her daughters Rose Stawski (Walter) and Lena Gubkin, her grandchildren James Stawski, Christopher Stawski, Noelle Gibilisco, Cara Gibilisco, Rebecca Leipert and her great grandchildren Tovie Forlivio-Stawski, Colton Stawski, Olivia Leipert and William (Liam) Leipert. Lucy is predeceased by her sisters, Concetta Ierna, Josephine Primo; brother Cosimo Messina.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4PM - 6PM at New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT 06053. A procession will assemble on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 9AM at the funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 10AM at Holy Spirit Church, Church St., Newington.
