My Love and Prayers go out to the family. May God keep and comfort you all.

My most precious memory of Mr. Oritiz, is when he opened his home and his heart to me and my sister Stephanie (it was nothing for him and Mrs. Ortiz to add two more to the crew lol) During that time our parents had divorced so we were going through tough times. He always made us feel welcome, teaching us to speak spanish in his home, alowing us to have a warm meal, celebrating with music congos, bongos, guitars and song during the holidays, and correcting us when we were wrong. He also taught us about the Love of God. (My favorite song was Joy like a River in my Soul) RIP Mr. Ortiz you have crossed that river and I know your soul is glad.
With all my heart I will truly miss you.
Charmetri or aka (Demetri) as you would always call me.

No words can’t explain the sorrow that is in our hearts. Tio was the epitome of a true warrior of Christ. Tio fought a valiant fight & on this day, he earned his just reward, everlasting life, one he longed for when he chose to serve Christ. Just sitting here writing this, the thought of tio seeing the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ face to face, brings incredible joy to my heart. He is in a place where there’s no pain, no suffering, praising God Almighty, for all eternity. To lose a loved one is painful, but to know that they have been received by God in Heaven, soothes our grieving hearts. We are all passing by in this journey called life, tio walked this journey to not only serve Christ, but to leave a lasting mark in the lives of the ones who knew him. Tio Luis has left us in the physical sense but his memory & legacy lives on in the lives of everyone he has touched. Sleep easy tio & may God bring comfort in our hearts for this great loss.

J.
