Marcile Vivian Byrd

Marcile became the Homecoming Queen of Marshall High School in 1955. She graduated as a CNA from Greater Hartford Community College and the Division of Nursing. In 1995 she became a Born Again Christian and devoted her life to her church, Fellowship of Life, in Cheshire, CT. She also participated in many well-known charities always giving to help the lost and anyone in need. Marcile also took real estate school classes and School of Business.

Marcile left to cherish her memories: 4 of 5 children, Darlene Swain (Eddie) from Plant City, FL, Bruce Byrd (Joshelyn) from Tampa, FL, Darrell Byrd from Manchester, CT, Christopher Dean Byrd from Waterbury, CT; sister, Joann Virginia Smith; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She is predeceased by her daughter, Angela Renaye Hunter, and sister, Elizabeth Deloris Aikens.

A period of visitation will be held at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00-11:00am with a funeral home prayer service to follow from 11:00-12:30.
