Maria (Stelmasiak) Anielak, 88, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Jerome Home. Born in Warsaw, Poland in 1923, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Helena (Radomska) Stelmasiak and was a holocaust survivor. She was married to Henryk Anielak who predeceased her in 1990. Maria lived in Cleveland, Ohio for many years and moved to New Britain, CT in 1965. She was a member of Holy Cross Church. Maria leaves three children; daughter, Viola LePine and her husband David of Watertown, a son, Robert Anielak and his companion Lisa Horan of Plainville and daughter, Alice Janelle and her husband Donald of Manchester.
Maria was an avid homemaker and enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes.
Visitation will begin Monday, July 16, 2012 at 10:30am from New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain with a Prayer Service at the funeral home at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
