Maria Connie Bernardo, 55 of Hartford, passed away on March 3, 2014, surrounded by family. Connie was born in Portugal on January 4,1959 and was one of eight children to the late Antonio and Maria I. Bernardo. She immigrated to the US in 1965 where she grew up in Connecticut, and later resided in Florida.
She is survived by her daughter Sarah Bernardo, and siblings Laurinda, Isabel, Antonio, Balbina, Carlos and Alvaro Bernardo. She leaves several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Connie was a woman full of love, creativity, generosity and passion. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her daughter Sarah, whom she said was her greatest achievement.
Visitation services will be Saturday March 8th, 2014 from 8:30-9:30am followed by a memorial service promptly at 9:30am held at the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT 06053.
