Maria Wcislo, 89, widow of Jan Wcislo since 1991, of New Britain, passed away on Christmas Day, Dec. 25th, 2018. She was born in Lwow, Poland and was daughter to the late Piotr and Anna. Maria was a retiree of Johnson & Johnson after many years of service. She will be remembered for her selflessness, generosity and pure kindness. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, knitting and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived and will be missed dearly by her children; John Wcislo Sr. and Margie Mandell of New Britain, Her sister Jozefa Balicki, her four Grandchildren; John Wcislo Jr, Dorothy Melnyk, Peter Wcislo and Tiana Mandell, and two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Caroline Melnyk. A time of visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018 from 5-8pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Funeral services will begin Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 at 9am followed by her Funeral Liturgy at 10am in Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. I worked with Maria for many years at J&J. She was a very special lady. A very hard worker and had a great amount of pride in her work. She was also very proud of her family. She will be missed. RIP Maria.
